The title, which has interested the mega filmmaker, is ‘I’. When we dig out the Tamil dictionary to see the meaning of ‘I’, we would really get into surprise, as there are so many meanings for the single letter ‘I’. The meanings go as king, beauty, astonishment, guru, vulnerability, owner and arrow.
The sources tell us that Shankar has gone for such a title simply because it explains all the characters of his hero in the story. The sources close to the director tell us that Shankar was very happy in changing the title, as the new title gives no clue about the story or the plot of the movie. The earlier title did give the idea of what the movie is about.
